Please visit our YouTube channel for helpful videos on how to tint windows at www.YouTube.com/LexenAuto

Tools:

Squeegee, knife, johnson baby shampoo or dish soap, spray bottle, and paper towel as well as a heat gun if needed

Professional tint tools kit can be found at our online store at www.LexenAuto.com

Preparation:

Create your own wetting solution (soapy water) by adding a few drops of Johnson baby shampoo or dish soap into a spray bottle filled with water

Start with a clean car, and a relatively dust and wind free environment

The tint is applied on the inside of the windows. You may work the window film on the outside, but the window film is installed on the inside

  1.       Place the film onto the glass. Trim to exact size with razor knife if needed
  2.       Heat shrink the window film with a heat gun if you have curved windows

(Please visit our YouTube channel for videos regarding this)

  1.       Remove the release liner and spray the now exposed adhesive surface immediately, thereby allowing you more time to properly position the film
  2.       Place the wet film onto the inside of the clean glass surface
  3.       Wet the face of the film to be squeegeed. Use squeegee to squeegee from the center out towards the edges to remove any air bubbles and water
  4.       Double check that the film is flat and smooth with no remaining air bubbles and water
  5.       Use paper towels for cleaning the glass surface and for the absorption of excess wetting solution around the edges

Precautions:

The surface to which the film will be applied should be very clean, free of dirt and dust particles. Make sure there are no dry spots on the film prior to placing it onto the glass

Take care that when removing the release liner, the film does not roll over onto itself. Once stuck together, it’s difficult to pull apart. Wet the film as the liner is removed

Tip to remove liner:

To separate the liner from the film, take two pieces of scotch tape and stick them opposite each other at one corner, then pull these two pieces of tape apart, the liner will separate from the film

Remember: Your new film takes 1-3 weeks to fully cure. You may see some haze or condensation during this period. Please allow film to cure 2-3 days before lowering windows
